The Bioinformatics Industrial User Platform (BIUP) is a group of over 20 Dutch companies that use bioinformatics expertise and tools in research and product development. One of the goals of BIUP is to facilitate informal discussions between BIUP members.
On March 13, 2015 BIUP organized a meeting where PI’s/bioinformaticians that work in a commercial setting worked together to share their opinion on developments in the bioinformatics field. The Hyve, Philips, and NIZO presented themselves and talked about:
- Encountered bioinformatics challenges & solutions
- Success stories
- View on new applications and developments
Presentations were followed by informal discussion and networking with drinks and bites.
