EHDEN reaches 200 million European patient records, doubling the initial project goal

The EHDEN project, one of the largest precompetitive projects in which The Hyve participates, is building a federated data network of healthcare data sources in Europe. The initial goal of the project was to harmonize more than 100 million anonymised health records to the OMOP data model.

Following the 3 open calls to date we have organised, we currently have 62 data partners, from 16 different countries and representing over 200 million patient records, which are mapping their data to the OMOP common data model. This includes several EHDEN project partners who have also mapped their data to the OMOP CDM for use in the federated network.

The Hyve is co-leading the largest work package in the EHDEN project, WP4, which oversees the creation of the technical infrastructure of the data network.

OHDSI OHDSI

The OHDSI suite is an open-source, modular solution that enables organizations to explore 360° patient journeys and turn data into evidence. The ecosystem provides a broad range of tools that cover all aspects of real world data and evidence − from data characterization to a standardized data model (OMOP CDM). This enables large scale cross-database analytics with OHDSI.
