Fedde Schaeffer

Fedde followed up his bachelor's degree in bioinformatics at Leiden University of Applied Science with a master's degree in bioinformatics and systems biology at VU and UvA in Amsterdam. During these programmes he worked as an intern in four different research groups in the western Netherlands, analysing genomic and transcriptomic data generated by various technologies. A few side jobs in one of the groups provided him with additional experience in open-source software development. After finishing his master in 2015, he joined The Hyve as a software engineer.
