Loes van den Biggelaar
Data Modeler specialised in Research Data Management
Loes studied biology and bioinformatics at Wageningen University & Research, where she could combine her interest in nature with programming. She created a knowledge graph for her internship in Copenhagen based on public data for drug target discovery. During her work, she developed an interest in FAIR data and ontologies, especially in combination with knowledge graphs. In 2023, Loes joined the Hyve as a data modeler in the Research Data Management team.
Having her roots in the sunny Brabant, Loes pursues her Burgundian lifestyle by cooking, baking, and sharing food. She is active in the gymnastics community and performs a front flip every now and then. Moreover, she is an aspiring billiards champion, which pairs well with her Burgundian roots.
