Matthijs Pon

Matthijs has a bachelor's degree in Molecular Life Sciences, with a focus on molecular biology and genetics (Wageningen University). He decided to combine his interest for genetics with programming for a master’s degree in Bioinformatics (Wageningen University). During his studies, Matthijs worked with various (large) datasets, analyzing and transforming them. At The Hyve, Matthijs works as a data engineer in the cBioPortal team.
Outside of work, Matthijs loves to engage in sports. You can find him on his racing bike, on the climbing wall or playing squash. Next to this, he is always in for social activities, it doesn’t matter if it is a simple chat over a cup of coffee, or a spontaneous group outing.
