Yi Chen

Yi Chen obtained a master's degree in Biology from Wageningen University. He started his PhD in Bioinformatics at Leiden University in 2018. During his PhD, he applied data science techniques (e.g., machine learning, network science) in biomedical research, with the goal of improving the reproducibility of scientific research and optimizing functional analysis algorithms in omics data analysis. Additionally, he worked on (semi)-automatic FAIR data generation and integration using semantic web approaches and ontology.
In his free time, Yi enjoys working out and riding his race bike.
