Alberto Gil Jiménez
Alberto has Bachelor’s Degree in Physics and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. His research project involved the usage of structural bioinformatics methodologies for simulating a fluorescent protein.
Subsequently, he obtained a Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology with a cum laude distinction. During his research project carried out at the NKI, he integrated genomics and transcriptomics data with the aim to study the effects of germline variants on breast cancer survival. In his Minor, he studied the usage of Machine Learning model interpretations trained using electronic health records to predict readmission rate.
In 2018, he joined The Hyve as a Bioinformatician.
