We store the details you provide when completing a form on our website (e.g. name, email address, company name). It is stated on the page containing the form on which subjects you will be contacted by us after completing the form. As of the moment of this “registration”, your activity on our website will be linked to your personal details.

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent to the data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by The Hyve. Furthermore, you have the right to data portability which means that you will be send the personal information we collected on you.

You can send your request for any of these actions to office@thehyve.nl.

Cookies

The Hyve uses functional, analytical and tracking cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone when you visit this website. The Hyve uses cookies with a purely technical functionality. These ensure that the website works properly and that, for example, your preferred settings are remembered. These cookies are also used to make the website work well and to optimize it.

If you have ever entered your details in a form on our site, we also use tracking cookies of your browsing habits. These data are used to improve our website and offer content that meets visitors preferences.

On your first visit to our website we have informed you on cookies and asked your permission to use them. In the settings of your internet browser you can opt out of cookies and you can delete all information previously saved.

Hotjar

We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices. This includes a device's IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf.

When you browse a website that has Hotjar installed, Hotjar collects data about your interactions (e.g. where you click, scroll your mouse, move in between pages) and use it to create visual representations of the experience. The Hyve gets these insights from Hotjar without tracking IP/MAC addresses-- the stuff that relates to the device you use. Some Hotjar tools, like session recordings, reconstruct the individual actions you took during a website visit; others, like heatmaps, aggregate data points from you and hundreds of other visitors in one report. But in all cases, by default, sensitive data that you might enter on the site will never reach our servers: when viewing a session recording we only see asterisks (‘***’ ) instead of numbers and text.

For further details, please see the ‘about Hotjar’ section of Hotjar’s support site.

Videos

Our website contains Vimeo and YouTube videos. If you watch these videos, Vimeo and YouTube can place cookies on your computer. When you visit our site for the first time, you will be asked if you object to these cookies. If you do, you can choose not to accept them. The disadvantage is that you cannot watch videos on our website.

YouTube uses so-called tracking cookies, and applies its own conditions. For this we refer you to the cookie and privacy statement of YouTube. In addition, a video can contain advertisements. The ad-providing website can also place cookies itself. These cookies contain information with which, for example, YouTube could identify you as a visitor. Vimeo can also use cookies. For this we refer you to the privacy policy of Vimeo.

How we protect personal data

The Hyve takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. If you feel that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of abuse, please contact our customer service or via office@thehyve.nl.
